Grammy's Musical Award

by Patricia Britt

LL Cool J did another great job hosting the Grammy's. The men were the one's to watch in fashion Sunday night with tuxes of every style. Kevin Hart, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Miguel, Bruno Mars, Smokey Robinson, Steven Tyler, Robert Lamm, John Legend, Blake Shelton, Neil Portnow, Nile Rodgers, Swizz Beatz, Robin Thicke (Armani) wore it well. Ciara was golden, Alicia Keys in electric blue, and Gloria Estefan (CD : The Standards) turned the beat around in a vivid red gown with sheer sleeves.

The sophisticated highlights of the evening was the band Chicago featuring Robert Lamm, and Robin Thicke with a medley of Chicago tunes beginning with "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is." John Legend's piano performance of "All of Me" was touching, and soulful. Adrianna's voice, Carol King, and Stevie Wonder on piano. Taylor Swift's piano, and vocals were serious, yet wild in a selection "All to Well" from the Red project. The piano keys were tinkling making it a good night for music.

Pharrell swept the Grammy's gaining an award for producer of the year with his songs Get Lucky (Daft Punk), and Blurred Lines. Bruno Mars took home a Grammy for "Locked Out of Heaven." Alicia Keys "Girl on Fire" wins best R&B album.

The affable, lovable talk show host Queen Latifah married 33 couples on the Grammy stage in a memory she'll have forever.

Justin Bieber was uncharacteristically absent, and in serious trouble. There's much more to 2014 than January, so lets pray the young man has many good years to come with his music, acting career, and the road to leadership avenue, if he aspires to be more like Josh Groban than in the direction Eminem.
